Tuesday, January 16, 2018 – Different Like Me Club     DLM is a social club just for tweens and teens that are high functioning on the Autism spectrum or have a disability. DLM provides opportunities for attendees to make friends, play games and have fun!.  This months meeting is scheduled at the Greenwood Library, Greenwood from 6:30-7:30.  Contact Abbey Parker for any questions and to RSVP abbey@stillpointconsultants.com.

Tuesday, January 23, 2018 – Johnson County Transition Council Meeting     Topic: Certificate of Completion Changes & Rationale.  This months meeting will be held at Franklin Community High School at 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.  Light refreshments and child supervision provided.

 

 

 

 

Thursday, February 1st, 2018 – Earlywood Educational Services     Topic: Strategies for Challenging Behavior in the Home. This free training presented by Melissa Dubie and Kristi Lofland from the Indiana Resource Center for Autism (IRCA) will provide parents with tools and strategies to help with challenging behaviors in the home for all ages.   Childcare provided.  The meeting will be held at Earlywood Educational Center, 500 Earlywood Drive, Franklin, IN from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.  For additional questions or to RSVP, contact Kris Baker at Kbaker@earlywood.org or 317.738.5459

Saturday, March 17th, 2018 – Central Indiana Autism Expo     Make plans to visit the 2018 Central Indiana Autism Expo to learn about the local autism services, programs, support and resources for those affected by autism in and around Indiana.  Attendees will have opportunities to meet with local autism providers and exhibitors who have information, tools and other items to share.   Attendees for the Central Expo do not need to register and do not need a ticket to come to the Expo. All are welcome to attend!.  The Central Expo is FREE for all attendees. Parking is $5.  Indiana State Fairgrounds – Harvest Pavillion, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Saturday, March 24, 2018 – Asperger’s Are Us (Comedy)     Asperger’s Are Us, is the world’s first comedy troupe on the spectrum and has performed over 100 original absurdist sketch shows in 9 countries.  The show is or all ages, but recommended for those 17+.   Doors open at 7:00 pm.  The show starts at 8:00 pm at the Irving Theater, 5505 E.
